LO is searching for a consultant to evaluate the project Fighting Inequality and achieving Decent Work through Trade Union Action in Zanzibar 2024-2028, which is supported by LO Norway.
The five-year programme (2024-2028) is funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad).
The main aim of the evaluation of the Fighting Inequality project is to build knowledge about the project's impact. It is intended to document and gather new insights to improve its impact by assessing the project's relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, and overall impact.
Findings and recommendations will guide ZATUC's work on the project from 2025 to 2028 and will be reported to LO and LOs back donor, Norad. Additionally, the insights gained will provide valuable lessons for LO’s other international projects.The evaluation will be guided by OECD DAC evaluation criteria.
The evaluation will require a visit to Zanzibar to visit ZATUC, and includes document reviews and interviews with key informants. Work is expected to start in October, and the expected number of working days for the evaluation is 20 days. A draft report should be submitted by 1st November and the final report should be submitted by 1st December 2025.
